Model Aviation magazine published a wonderful retrospective on the history of RealFlight, written by Jay Smith. The article chronicles the simulator’s journey from its founding in 1996 through its acquisition by Horizon Hobby in 2021.

I’m honored that the article features my involvement with RealFlight—from joining as a contractor in 2001, becoming general manager during the G3 development, purchasing Knife Edge Software in 2012, and ultimately selling RealFlight to Horizon Hobby.

It’s a great read for anyone interested in the history of R/C simulation.
