The Ghost Ship: My MX Aircraft MX-S
In 2022, I began flying an MX Aircraft MX-S that I call “Ghost Ship.”
A Step Up
The MX-S is lighter than the 330SC it replaced, yet it’s more capable aerobatically. With +/- 14g limits and a 420 degrees per second roll rate, this aircraft takes unlimited aerobatics to the next level.
Powered by a 370 horsepower Lycoming AEIO-540 with 11:1 cylinders custom built by Lycon and spinning a Whirlwind prop, the Ghost Ship has power to spare for any maneuver in the book.
Better in Every Way
Beyond pure aerobatic performance, the MX-S offers greater range, better equipment, and improved comfort compared to my previous aircraft. With a 750 nautical mile range and 180 knot cruise speed, cross-country flying is even more practical.
The aircraft maxes out at 230 knots, making it one of the fastest single-engine aerobatic aircraft in the world.
A New Chapter
I’m excited to begin this new chapter of my aerobatic career with the Ghost Ship. Stay tuned for competition results, air show appearances, and more adventures in this incredible machine.
