Most flight simulators fall into two categories: Cessna trainers for learning to fly, or fighter jet combat games. But what about aerobatic pilots who want to practice stick-and-rudder skills in high-performance aircraft? That’s why I created Acro FS.

What is Acro FS?

Acro FS is a flight simulator designed from the ground up to accurately simulate aerobatic flight. Unlike general aviation simulators that focus on navigation, radio work, and instrument procedures, Acro FS strips away everything except what matters most: the pure flying experience.

The simulator lets you fly high-performance aerobatic aircraft like the Extra and Pitts biplane, focusing entirely on stick-and-rudder control. No GPS, no radio calls, no flight plans—just you and the aircraft.

Why Aerobatic Simulation?

Aerobatic flying is fundamentally different from other types of aviation. The aircraft behaves differently at the edge of the flight envelope, and pilots need to develop muscle memory for maneuvers that most simulators don’t even attempt to model correctly.

With Acro FS, pilots can:

  • Practice aerobatic sequences without burning expensive avgas
  • Develop coordination for complex maneuvers
  • Experiment with new figures in a safe environment
  • Train during weather that would ground real aircraft

Development Status

The public beta of Acro FS has concluded. The team has been working on the next version, incorporating feedback from beta testers and improving the flight model. Stay tuned for updates on the next release.
